The LHS Color Guard performs with the Marching Band during field shows and parades, adding movement and visual interest to each performance.

Through synchronized flag work, sabres, other equipment, and dance, the Guard complements the music and formations of the Marching Band. Different colors and styles of flags are used throughout the show to enhance the overall visual presentation.

For field performances, the Color Guard performs as part of the Marching Band’s halftime show. Parade routines are designed separately for the parade setting.

Students develop flag and equipment technique, movement, timing, coordination, and performance skills while learning to work as part of a unified visual ensemble. New members receive instruction and build their skills throughout the season.

Color Guard gives students the opportunity to be part of the Lancer Marching Band through flag work, movement, dance, and performance.
