11.01.02. Tonight started like a normal football game. At the half, the band entered from the north end of the field for their Superhero half-time show. However, something a little different in the PA announcer's script tonight surprised the band, and the crowd:
"The Londonderry Lancer Marching Band and Colorguard has been invited to march in the 2004 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, one year from this New Years Day"

The Lancer 2002-3 drum majors cut the cake at the surprise celebration following the announcement.
